A few days ago I had the opportunity to preview a new wine bar in Vienna before its official opening on May 5th 2017. No doubt, a wine bar isn’t exactely a world shaking new concept and yes, there are several of them spread throughout the city. However, the owners of this bar have dobviously dedicated time, passion and knowledge in order to develop a new and very interesting concept by combining the advantages of a shop with the cool ambiance of a bar. And this approach is fairly unique in the city.

Today I am going to give you a quick introduction to Vienna’s public transport system. Actually, Vienna’s is quite a small city compared to many other capitals of the world. The best way to move around is by foot, as it will give you the chance to marvel at the city’s spectacular buildings and its beautiful facades.
However, sometimes it’s more comfortable to use public transport, for example when visiting the Schönbrunn castle or the Prater amusement park, both sights that are situated outside the city center.
No doubt Vienna is a beautiful city: stunning architecture, well groomed parks, jaw-dropping facades and this very special imperial touch. In order to feel the city’s extraordinary atmosphere and get captivated by its beauty, I would always recommend visitors to walk around. The public transportation in Vienna is indeed very well serviced, reliable and punctual, still the best way to move around the city is on your own feet.
Travelling plays an important role in my life and I therefore try to do at least one long distance journey per year. It has always been a dream of mine to go to South Africa and experience the magnificent wildlife in its natural environment. In September 2015 I finally made this dream come true and went on a three week roundtrip through South Africa and Swaziland. I am not exaggerating when I say that no country before has touched and inspired me as much as South Africa did. It’s an impressive and beautiful land, blessed with breathtaking nature and fascinating wildlife and I can only recommend you to go there and convince yourself of its beauty and special vibes.
