No doubt Vienna is a beautiful city: stunning architecture, well groomed parks, jaw-dropping facades and this very special imperial touch. In order to feel the city’s extraordinary atmosphere and get captivated by its beauty, I would always recommend visitors to walk around. The public transportation in Vienna is indeed very well serviced, reliable and punctual, still the best way to move around the city is on your own feet.
And if you want to have an even more special experience with even more spectacular views and an even more magical atmosphere, go for it at night. After dusk, Vienna turns into an illuminated fairytale, especially around Christmas time.
