I am happy to announce that my special project Viennadiary.com has finally come to life. I have been thinking about it for months, making plans, creating a design and developing content in my mind. No doubt, that this very first blog post represents a very special moment for me.

If you have already spent time on this site you might have come across the “About” section, which gives you an idea of the purpose and the meaning of this project.

Vienna is not only my city of birth and the place I have been living in for more than 30 years, most notably, it’s a breathtaking medley of great history and stunning architecture, culinary delights, grand personalities and musical masterpieces. And besides these attributes Vienna is famous for, there are so many other sides of this great city left to explore and waiting to be discovered by you!

The aim of this blog is to take you off the touristic paths and show you insights into a different Vienna, it’s hidden beauties, secret escapes and culinary art, as it is seen and enjoyed by the locals.
